Me.

Bienvenue a mon blog!

In case you didn’t know already I am a not-too-tall, not-quite-red-headed, almost 21-year-old woman named Heather (no nickname).

I love happy, comedic and clever tv shows, my favourites being The Office, Parks and Recreation, Arrested Development and Gilmore Girls. But also deeply mysterious, enthralling dramas like Lost, Alias, Battlestar Galactica and Bones. And of course guilty pleasures like The Bachelor(ette), So You Think You Can Dance, Covert Affairs and Drop Dead Diva. Among many more.

I love to giggle with my friends, spend countless hours with my family, read books that break my heart and open it to new understandings and possibilities. I love to explore my relationship with God and learn about the depths of His unconditional, ultimate love for me. I love singing really loudly and off-key during long road trips. I love the splendor of the mountains and the glory of the blue sky. I have so many places I want to go and things I am in such high anticipation to see. To feel the extreme heat in Ethiopia, smell the sea-breeze in Greece, hear the sounds of city-life in Istanbul, see the streets of Jerusalem, taste the spices of India, experience the warm baths of Japan and know the festivals of Brazil but most of all know and love the familiarity of home

I know the struggles of sickness and despairs of limitations. The hopes of a fresh start and the losses that come with failed dreams. The highs of amazing friendships and lows of lost friends. Hurt, pain, sorrow, joy, happiness, insecurity, love, anger – all well-known emotions.

I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. I hail from Calgary and go to university in Ottawa. I study Journalism and Political Science. I love anything Harry Potter and Jane Austen. I love most candy – M&Ms, cinnamon hearts, rockets and Terry’s Dark Chocolate Oranges being my favourites! Spicy Chili Heat Doritos are the best kind of chips ever, apart from Jalapeno and Cheddar Old Dutch.

I want to be a documentary journalist working for a program like the fifth estate or 60 Minutes. Anderson Cooper is AMAZING. All women love Ellen. Stacy and Clinton are hi-larious.

I love http://www.ew.com and http://www.tvline.com . Guys with british accents are beautiful, as are all Ron Weasleys’. Cowboy hats add so much to every man’s attractiveness. Life is lovely.

Andddd that’s all I can think of.
